Want to learn how to do business with the public sector?

This workshop provides you with the knowledge and skills to understanding the public sector procurement process, learn about Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Tenders and put them into practice.  Discover how to write your bids, the policies required and insurance levels in addition to understanding the ways which public sector bodies buy goods and services. 

Delivered by BSS, with extensive experience in supporting small businesses in bidding and tendering for public sector work, their trainer will explain how to sell effectively to the public sector and improve your success rate.

 

Contents :

  1. Introduction to public sector procurement process including the ins and outs of the bidding process
  2. Understanding the language of procurement, as well as the evaluation process used for awarding contracts; learn ways to determine the right contract opportunities for your organisation
  3. Sell the services/products of your organisation effectively via ‘Pre-qualification Questionnaires and ‘Invitation To Tender’ forms ( PQQ and ITT) - creating  powerful USP for competitive advantage. Pricing your services/products correctly to minimize financial viability risks and remain competitive
  4. Writing effective bids and confidently presenting your proposal to local authorities and other public sector buyer - steps you need to take
  5. Reasons for the different policies required for successful bidding  and how to utilise them when writing your bids - environmental, health and safety, quality assurance and equal opportunity
  6. Dramatically expand the number of public sector buyers you sell to without  breaking your bank account
  7. Using bidding portals intelligently to maximise your selling outcomes
  8. Obtaining and using feedback from past bids in-order to improve the future outcomes
  9. Partnering and forming consortium for future bids - what are the practicalities involved 
  10. Introduction to contract performance and relationship management

 

This workshop is FREE of charge to businesses participating in the Selling to the Public Sector project, and ideally compliments their free advice sessions tailored to each business. If you have not yet registered on the project but would like to participate, please email us at kash@kashkhunkhuna-associates.co.uk and we can register you on the project.  Your business must be operating from Leicester City to be eligible.

You may book on more than workshop and any member of staff from your registered organisation may attend.  However, we would like to limit places on any one course to 1 staff member.  If you would like another staff member to attend please contact us and we will add you to a reserve list.

Attendance includes refreshments and lunch.  Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary requirements so we may cater for you.

Parking is available onsite at Highpoint Conference Centre.  Alternatively the conference centre is close to public transport links.
